U.S. Army LNESC Partnership

The U.S. Army and the League of United Latin American Citizen's National Education Service Centers (Dallas) aim to increase college entrance examination scores and improve test scores for Hispanic high school and college students. LNESC incorporates March 2 Success software, Rising to the Challenge curriculum and Planning For Life workshops to effect positive change in students' lives and communities. The program is expected to reach more than 7,500 students.

High School Financial Planning Program, National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE)

The NEFE High School Financial Planning Program® (NEFE HSFPP) is a seven-unit student curriculum designed to educate students in basic money management skills. The performance-based learning methodology takes students step-by-step through each unit and has them perform core competencies. The program has been shown -- through two independent evaluations -- to produce significant knowledge gain, the confidence to take action and actual positive behavior change in significant numbers.
Learning Logic

Learning Logic is a self-paced, mastery-based computer software program used for teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra I. Learning Logic is designed to ignite and promote increased interest in mathematics and the sciences through interactive lessons and real world applications. Since its initial delivery to schools in 1990, more than 500 teachers and 120,000 students across the United States have used Learning Logic.
March 2 Success

This test prep tool provides free educational content to help anyone improve their knowledge and test scores in the areas of language arts, mathematics and science. March 2 Success also provides information about applying to college, including interviewing, essay writing, financial aid and other topics. Content is provided by Peterson's, Educational Options and College Options Foundation.
National Guard GED Plus Program

The Army National Guard has authorized the enlistment of applicants having neither a high school diploma nor alternate education credential (GED, National Guard Youth Challenge, Correspondence Diploma, etc). The Applicants will enlist under the "Army National Guard GED Plus Program". The enlistee has three options: online only; resident state option; and alternate state option. National Science Center Distance Learning

National Science Center JROTC Programs

In partnership with the Army’s Cadet Command, the National Science Center(NSC) provides hands-on math and science training for JROTC Cadets through summer camp and in-school programs. The NSC provides curriculum and materials for activities that involve “learning by doing.” Cadets construct items such as battery-powered cars, spinning coil motors, series and parallel circuits, flashlights, burglar alarms, telegraph keys, electromagnets and engraving pencils.
National Science Center Mobile Discovery Centers

The National Science Center takes science on the road with its Mobile Discovery Centers. Housed in an 18-wheelers, the mobile centers travel across the country, presenting programs designed to show young people that studying science and math is fun as well as essential to their future.
NHRA Youth and Education Services (Y.E.S.) Program

The NHRA's Youth & Education Services (Y.E.S.) program presented by the U.S. Army is motorsports' first and only full-time program devoted exclusively to educational programming. The Y.E.S. program was created in 1989 as a tool to connect education and drag racing. Since its inception, the Y.E.S. program has continued to expand and improve its programs, seminars, literature, and educational material. The Career Opportunities Fair (C.O.F.) held every year at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, and Y.E.S. programs reach tens of thousands of students annually in a variety of services and offerings. This effort assists teachers and students in determining a course of action to help young people achieve their long-term career goals.
STEM Learning Modules

Success Profiler

All of the U.S. Army JROTCs use the Success Profiler program in helping develop goal setting as well as social/emotional learning in Cadets at over 1,500 programs throughout the United States.

Basic Skills Education Program

You Can School Program (YCSP) develops life skills for high school students while also offering community service opportunities. Through Army National Guard, this program consists of dynamic multimedia presentations that have been developed with the input of educators. The YCSP informs, motivates and empowers students by focusing on key decision-making skills. Various topics include drug and alcohol awareness, violence prevention, life betterment, career direction, health and well being, and discovery.
Planning for Life

Planning for Life Planning for Life (PFL) is a free interactive seminar to help students plan for life beyond high school. The half-day workshop, designed for freshman, sophomore and junior high school students features career and college planning tools, a nutrition/physical fitness segment and a personal development segment. While the program is sponsored by the U.S. Army, PFL is a public service, not a recruiting initiative. This is just one way the Army gives back to the community and supports the youth of America.
