Science Museum Expands Teacher Training

March 27, 2014 – Meredith Rodriguez – Since 2006, 800 Chicago Public Schools teachers have participated in a professional development program focusing on STEM at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry. The museum is ramping up those efforts and plans to provide classes to more than 1,000 teachers in the next five months. The program is part of a broader strategy to improve STEM education in the city by creating partnerships with the city’s cultural institutions, businesses and nonprofits.
